The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration is distinguished by its international emphasis. One of the arts enterprises selected in the ABI cohort may be eligible for a special opportunity for a residency at Eyebeam, a nonprofit studio for collaborative experiments with technology toward a more imaginative and just world. ABI was funded for an initial three-year period from 2012- 2015, through the School of Business Innovation Fund and the Provost’s office of the UW-Madison campus.

Students explore core business principles in marketing, finance, management, law, economics and accounting with an emphasis on international perspectives, environmental sustainability and ethics. Shortlisted in the Health Profession category are Kathy D’Arcy from Cork, Ireland, who has worked as a doctor and youth worker, Medical Social Worker Iora Dawes from Mansfield in England, and respiratory physician Andrew Dimitri from Sydney, Australia, who is also a field doctor for the international humanitarian organisation Médecins Sans Frontières.
