She has developed and taught innovative courses in career development and music business at the University of Minnesota, Augsburg College, and the University of St. Thomas; and flute at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and MacPhail Center for Music, where she is a former dean of individual and group instruction.
June 20-July 9—AN AMERICAN IN PARIS—The multi-Tony Award Winning musical, filled with wonderful music and sensational dancing, about an American soldier, a mysterious French girl and an indomitable European city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of war.
Although we will get deeply into the details in a few paragraphs, the point to make here is that the assignment of Lloyd and LaFlamme as the guest artists was only the repetition of received folklore, not based on anyone’s actual assessment of the music itself and the circumstances surrounding the performance.
Because of all of the amazing support in past years from the community, this year’s festival will take place at the Hagerty Center on NMC’s Great Lakes Campus where there will be more space for extra celebration and fun — and a huge bonus, it overlooks the beautiful West Bay!
