Atlantic Health System and Montclair State University have an Arts and Health Partnership Our goals include research and publication, performance and exhibitions, and training and education in the areas of arts, health care and the medical humanities. The Austin Hope and Pilkington Trust has grants available for projects that relate to music and the arts. Poor health status does not necessarily lead to respondents appreciating art less. Designing our facilities to create welcoming and healing environments by incorporating the arts inside and outside the hospitals and creating areas for relaxation and contemplation.

Society For The Arts In Health Care

RSPH has made important contributions over a number of years in supporting the development of the arts and health field in the UK. We continue to investigate and research the benefits of our arts programs on the overall wellbeing of patients, visitors and caregivers. It has relevance for all agencies, departments and organisations with a role in promoting health and wellbeing and in delivering health care and services, including arts agencies and all those already engaging with arts and health practice.

George Washington University Showcase To Highlight The Intersection Of The Arts And Health In D.C.

Recognising how valuable The Arts can be in improving health outcomes as well as promoting health and wellbeing in the wider community, this NSW Health and The Arts Framework enables the NSW Health system to maximise the benefits of integrating The Arts into the design and delivery of health services, and health messaging. Our second meeting was over in Dublin in 2004 shortly after I’d left the South West, where I’d been developing Arts for Health Cornwall, and was about to take up my position at MMU. In the years previous I had several opportunities to address audiences and work with students at Acadia and I had hoped to continue my working relationship with this leading Canadian liberal arts university.

Arts and health embraces a range of arts practices occurring primarily in healthcare settings, which bring together the skills and priorities of both arts and health professionals. The diversity and breadth of our research is illustrated by the hundreds of projects the University has undertaken over the years.
