The Alliance for Arts & Health New Jersey connects artists and arts professionals and those who provide health and wellness services in order to educate, advocate, and advance best practices in arts and health. Art in Healthcare included no less than three paintings by David Michie in their relatively small but perfectly formed 2014 Festival exhibition ‘The Healing Power of Art’, such is the enduring appeal of the renowned artist. This double-blind peer-reviewed journal provides artists, researchers, healthcare professionals, educators, therapists, programme administrators and funding bodies an opportunity to report and reflect upon innovative effective practices.

Arts In Health (BETH5207)

This inter-disciplinary grouping will explore the relationship between the arts/design and public health at personal and societal levels. We will have a blog solely for this, although Matt will also be posting on his own blog, Positive Eating I may post some posts relating to our 30 Day Challenge here if it has to do with teaching about nutrition, but I don’t want to get away from why I started Middle School Health Esteem in the first place.

Critically, health and wellbeing are influenced by other factors in life that are outside of the NHS, therefore, this research grouping has an overarching focus on the social determinants of health – the factors that underpin both health and wellbeing.

Arts Department National Centre For Arts & Health

Atlantic Health System and Montclair State University have an Arts and Health Partnership Our goals include research and publication, performance and exhibitions, and training and education in the areas of arts, health care and the medical humanities. The Austin Hope and Pilkington Trust has grants available for projects that relate to music and the arts. Poor health status does not necessarily lead to respondents appreciating art less. Designing our facilities to create welcoming and healing environments by incorporating the arts inside and outside the hospitals and creating areas for relaxation and contemplation.

Society For The Arts In Health Care

RSPH has made important contributions over a number of years in supporting the development of the arts and health field in the UK. We continue to investigate and research the benefits of our arts programs on the overall wellbeing of patients, visitors and caregivers.
