An online degree does not lead to teacher licensure in any state; online education programs are not CAE or TEA or NCATE accredited which is a requirement for certification in some states. The Department aims to provide students with a solid technical and artistic foundation- one that prepares them as they move on to their professional careers.
BYU Arts is the organization that produces and presents for the Brigham Young University College of Fine Arts and Communications. This one-year certificate program prepares you for success in a variety of programs as you explore your interests, aptitudes and skills, assess career choices, and prepare for further postsecondary studies.
In addition, you strengthen your oral and written communication abilities, develop critical thinking skills and create a portfolio that showcases your work. Further, this course will highlight professional expectations in the photography discipline and introduce foundation skills for the courses that will follow.
