USQ’s Creative Arts and Media degrees are designed to inspire your creativity, while developing the technical expertise and practical experience sought after by employers. The module will build upon many aspects of the core Level 5 Media Production courses and effectively act as an advanced foundation in a wide range of film and TV production skills. My current role is as Assistant Dean for Business Engagement and Educational Partnerships, in the School.
The main emphasis of this module is for students to gain experience of studio-based production and to develop skills gained in Media Practice One. This event is sponsored by the Small Business Center Network, HCC Foundation, Western Women’s Business Center, Haywood County Arts Council, the Sequoyah Fund and the Smoky Mountain News.
In Foundation to Year 2, learning in The Arts builds on the Early Years Learning Framework. Despite the popularity of other moving image media today’s television, YouTube, etc. You can find a wealth of information about studying with us on our School websites.
Our Bachelor of Arts and Media programme will provide you with the fundamental skills to move into personal practice or a variety of careers within the arts, design and media industries, or to pursue further study. Students work collaboratively using technologies to make media artworks for specific audiences and purposes using story principles to shape points of view and genre conventions, movement and lighting.
Courses in this list set the study of arts and media in broad cultural or social contexts. While the arts in the local community should be the initial focus for learning, students are also aware of and interested in the arts from more distant locations and the curriculum provides opportunities to build on this curiosity.
