Art in Action is a national nonprofit that creates comprehensive, easy-to-teach visual arts curriculum for children in kindergarten through 8th grade. There have been attempts to establish arts councils in some places, but once there is a change in government and leadership in the province or the municipalities, the plans and programs of the arts councils are affected, to the extent that these efforts die down.
Developed in conjunction with the Australia Council for the Arts , the Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA) and Department of Education (DoE), the Creative Education Partnerships: Artist in Residence (AIR) grants program was launched as a pilot program in Western Australia in June 2009.

Not for profit groups, voluntary organisations and registered charities will be able to apply for grants of up to £10,000 for new, original and innovative projects that actively promote Heart Health and help to prevent, or reduce, the risk of heart disease.
An After Degree (BEAD) Program of 60 credit hours is also available for students with a BA, BFA or another approved degree in one of the arts areas of concentration chosen from Dance, Drama, Literature, Music, Visual Arts, as well as Creative Technologies for Education, or Indigenous Visual Education.
