Magic bus!
Hey everyone, thanks for coming out last night…twas a blast.
Two orders of business this morning…
1. To whomever yelled out “Magic Bus”, I was kidding when I said you’re stricken from my xmas card list. I love that song, and I think it was a fine selection. You’re still on.
2. I stand corrected. STEPHANIE is the one who introduced us to Captain Beyond, and deserves credit for the drunken, classic rock blitzkrieg that closed our set.
xoxo,
mam

Some nice things said about Action at a Distance
“a tight-knit four-piece guitar pop outfit with subtle melodic hints of classic rock.” - SF Chronicle
“alive, cohesive and textured…their best work yet!” - The Fire Note
“winding melodies, unique guitar hooks and intelligent songwriting” - Record Dept.
“5 stars. Winding intelligent melodies?uniquely satisfying guitar lines?smart pensive lyrics?what more could you ask for? Once again Lakis hits the target dead center.” -LMNOP/Babysue
“the strummy electric guitars, slightly elliptical and mathy melodies, and slouchy boyish vocals feel cozily familiar like a well-worn and beloved sweater. Some things are simply untethered to trendiness…that’s why Lou Barlow, Joe Pernice, Rob Crow and Jason Lakis and his crew are still goin’ strong. Definitely recommended… “ - Aquarius Records
“wonderfully subdued and melodic” - Local Vertical
